Memorial for Mary Davey - The Dedication

Fittingly, coinciding with Earth Day, the memorial to Mary Davey was dedicated in the presence of family, friends, and fellow advocates from some of the organizations where Mary had played such a significant role.

After collecting at the entrance to Byrne Preserve, the group makes the short hike up the hill to the trees where the memorial is located.

On a surprisingly warm day, attendees collected together under the trees - a four-wheel drive (on the left) was recruited to transport the less athletic members of the party.

Jack, Mary's husband, is assisted from the SUV by his daughter Kit.

Roger Spreen, Chair of the Los Altos Hills Open Space Committee, welcomes the group and introduces the speakers.
