The Los Altos Hills Digital History Archives Aerial Photograph Repository |
Introduction
Over time, we have collected a number of Aerial Photographs of our town - some are just a single isolated "image" or "frame" while others form a cohesive set of adjoining (possibly overlapping) images
that combined show all or a section of th town. The different dates when these images were recorded give an interesting perspective of how our area has evolved since 1930 on into the 21st Century.

Miscellaneous individual photos that are unrelated to each other |
|
| This is a collection of random unrelated aerial images that have been accumulated over time. Images have been annotated to locate a few landmarks to assist
viewers who may be unfamiliar with interpreting and navigating their way around such images.
|
A Group of six early images from before the Town was incorporated |
|
| Six aerial images are presented of which the date is uncertain, but likely 1947. They show the Los Altos Hills landscape before the town's incorporation.
Each image is annotated with a few colored dots to orient the viewer to the geographic area shown in each image.

Aerial Survey of the whole Town - dated approx 2001 |
|
| The original files in this collection were originaly made available on a CD ROM disc
for Town Planners to use before such information became more wisely and easily accessible over the internet.
The contents of this CD are reproduced here as 53 separate files (covering 53 separate sectors of the town)
together with a summary “Index Map” to enable easy selection of a desired image.
